Broadhead Co. Learnings

Once again, I found myself delving into the understanding and utilization of efficacy in medical indications. As professionals, it is crucial for agencies to familiarize themselves with medical terminology and various treatment methods, prioritizing preventive approaches over reactive ones.Gaining insights into clients through briefs and studies across diverse industries like Agriculture, Transportation, and Lifestyle was invigorating.

Embracing the distinct needs, tension points, and business models of each industry, companies can strategically leverage competition during Request for Proposals (RFP) processes to present innovative solutions.

An apt analogy for this approach is the proactive execution of tasks rather than reactive responses—an attribute often observed in highly emotionally intelligent leaders."

My Key Contributions

The Challenges

Client Problem Statement:
Ross required website enhancements to align with his established brand as a renowned published author and public speaker. These improvements encompassed not only visual upgrades but also responsive design enhancements.

Additionally, he sought to integrate links connecting his website to his social media platforms and professional portfolio, consolidating them into a cohesive online presence.

Furthermore, updates were needed for the informational section dedicated to his "planners" along with various logistical improvements. Enhancing the website's visibility through SEO enhancements, optimizing META descriptions, and claiming it as his personal Google Business to improve its ranking were also among the objectives.

Solution Action:
Enhancing Ross's brand involves implementing improvements across Squarespace and his interconnected social media and Vimeo accounts. This comprehensive approach aims to provide a refreshed and cohesive look and feel.

By incorporating up-to-date visuals and compelling content, the website and socials become more appealing, emphasizing the importance of content in making favorable first impressions and attracting potential clients. The revamped site encourages visitors to take specific actions, including a clear call-to-action (CTA) to contact Ross for event bookings.

Key strategies include updating testimonials, expanding the clientele list, and optimizing both the front and back-end of the homepage to ensure seamless information delivery.

Other Projects Completed

Banner Ads for a Boehringer Ingelheim Brand.
I had the opportunity to design two distinct banner ads for a Business Intelligence (BI) brand using Adobe Creative Suite. Over the course of the project, I developed approximately 46 banner ads, integrating feedback from both a creative director and my supervisor.

This experience offered valuable insights into the implicit rules of internal creative review and effective strategies to keep all stakeholders informed and engaged with updates.

Moreover, certain ads necessitated specific configurations and packaging, ensuring their readiness for animation. Additionally, incorporating Legal, Regulatory, Medical, and Pharmaceutical mandates, each series was assigned unique LIT codes to align with industry requirements.

LinkedIn Newsletter for a Wagner, Falconer, & Judd, Ltd Brand.
I had the opportunity to collaborate with a Broadhead copywriter in creating multiple variations of newsletters. Additionally, I worked closely with a creative director to gather feedback. The primary objective of these newsletters was to either educate or engage, providing updates to both our existing clientele and potential new clients/followers.

To further extend this initiative, I suggested the creation of a series of videos. Each video would briefly address a specific legal topic, commonly asked questions, with the aim of enhancing our communication beyond the traditional newsletter format.

Video Series for Broadhead Interns Project and Worked on Figma Website Mockups for Internships year 2024 summer.
I had the privilege of engaging in design and production work alongside the internship class of 2023 at Broadhead. This experience provided me with valuable insights into 3D printing and the collaborative process of pitching work within the agency. I also gained a deeper understanding of best practices in filming a video series, crafting effective questions, and giving and receiving feedback on branding and roundup pitching.

After this period, I had the opportunity to collaborate with a senior UX/UI designer and a senior developer. Together, we worked on creating website mockups for next year's internship applicants and those interested in learning more about our program. Drawing from the resources left behind by the class of 2022, this collaborative effort informed our decisions and contributed to the curation of three distinct mockups. Additionally, I played a role in formulating questions for applicants of the class of 2024 and gathering quotes from the class of 2023 on there internship experience."

Optum Learnings

The Challenges

Challenges in Hospitals and Healthcare:
The healthcare industry presents a unique challenge compared to most others due to its intricate regulatory landscape. Successfully navigating this complexity requires excellence and extensive connectivity with various services.

Establishing comprehensive processes is crucial, holding high significance for both patients and their families. In my role, I primarily contributed to a management team, emphasizing a different approach to thinking and evaluating work compared to a creative team, thus highlighting a distinct perspective in project execution.

Solutions/Clients in Hospitals and Healthcare:
In this rotation, my focus was on serving internal clients within the healthcare service sector, assisting them in implementing solutions for companies opting to manage their healthcare plans through Optum and its partners. Each client's healthcare needs varied significantly, influenced by prevalent issues within their industry, whether corporate or retail, and whether their workforce operated in-person, remotely, or through a hybrid model.

Recognizing the personalized nature of medical journeys, each worker faced distinct challenges and complexities.Throughout this experience, my research delved into the fascinating realm of how Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) are shaping the future of the hospital and healthcare industry. The efficiency of AI and ML in handling repetitive and process-oriented tasks holds the promise of reducing errors, minimizing waiting times, and streamlining digital processes.

However, amidst these advancements, the enduring importance of human connection remains evident. Online or in-person communities that share similar, though never identical, healthcare journeys will continue to play a crucial role in supporting individuals through their unique challenges.
