The Challengers and Competitive Analysis

Strengths:
They are reliable and credible from their reviews and testimonials.
They have an online platform that enables users to file forms for free if they are, do it yourself" personas or have already had previous assistance, and the people save the documents.

Weaknesses:
Choose your social networks carefully. There are many options, and you can find the Top 100 Social Networks in your Country here.
Have you tried speaking to the press and bloggers about your product?
They can be a great source of referral traffic when they publish a post or article with a link.

Opportunities:

They can expand their presence on social media.
Ask your fans, clients, or business partners to put a link to your site on theirs.
Register the website in relevant directories or listings.
Add text message reminders and alerts for users.

Threats:
Other competitors are adopting the idea and expanding on the framework in place.
Lawyers gather together and create their system with technologists that will be more personalized to users.
People are unsure about filing online for the first time.

Strengths:
They have a blog and links to other great resources.
It beats the last competitor where they have not so many links.
Their software seems to be pretty robust and intelligent.

Weaknesses:
US immigration does not have any social media.
There is no marketing anywhere.
Have you tried speaking to the press and bloggers about your product?
Creating an account was not super straightforward.

They can expand their presence on social media.

Who is tired of hearing no from naysayers and a limited amount of sources?

Our Challenge To Test and Optimize

Problem Statement:
Our user needs to get advice from experts in the immigration industry. We can help them gain resources for their clear case and needs at the time being and prepare long-term plans. These users are under pressure and uncertainty when regarding legal documentation processes. Our goal is to give them tailored help and a sense of security.

1. Our first step is surveying, in other words, screening individuals to learn more about their current immigration status and what they seek: apply, renew, or apply to a new type of status. Potentially ask them questions later on about any legal incidents affecting their record.
2. The second thing would be to recommend experts in their state or area. This recommendation should enable an initial conversation to craft potential questions both parties could and should ask.
3. The last step is to set up a payment plan and help them collaborate on a schedule plan to meet all rules outlined. Any tools explained to facilitate the process. We can then send them resources and tailor the content to each user to benefit from it and unmantle any user misconceptions.

Hypothesis:
Suppose we can create a good screening survey and user experience paired with a simple, serious tone, caring interface. Suppose we can process documentation faster and more efficiently than on any other platform or lawyers. In that case, we will reduce travel and paperwork costs. This platform will benefit all parties involved, including our users, experts, government, and company/stakeholders.

Who: This web app is for anyone living in the U.S seeking to apply or renew any documentation status or coming here as a refugee or asylee.

Demographics
Age: 16-32
Gender: Male, Female, Non-Binary.
Education: Bachelor's in Marketing for Alfonso and Bachelor's in Political Science for Fatima.

The Solution Process

These are the User Flows and the Task Analysis entry point and success criteria. We pushed potential stories that can be viable with our application.

"As you can see, 96% of this USCIS agency budget is supported by the fees they charge. They found it challenging to navigate and transition ways to help people online renew or apply for documentation status." - USCIS.gov

During the pandemic, I found people had a hard time reapplying from just the group chats on Facebook. Many people lost their jobs and work permits because they were processing things too late. They did not know where to seek funding, lose their jobs and just misinformation and fear of using online services.

Our Results and Iterations

This picture is a current site map and a 3-D cluster view of what interviewees associated as concepts for what should be related to the new site map. We ran this test on OptimalWorkshop.

Handoff and Reflection

I made my documentation avilable through Zeplin.

"I felt such a relief financially from using Xpert Documentation and emotionally to see my status progress in real-time and be reassured of traveling outside the United States and come back with no worries in the back of my mind." - Alfonso
"I am happy with the processing time of my work permit, even though I forgot to do it six months in advance. Working with Miguel and talking with him cleared up many misconceptions, and I can now pay to have my sister visit." - Fatima

Next Action Steps + USCIS

This project would be of immense value and has both the ability to be a platform for immigrants and lawyers; we could build tailored experiences for individuals by surveying them. It could be a survey broken down into getting to know them and their goals and motivations.

Something important would be to build a community on this platform, such as Reddit, Facebook, and Twitter have achieved. Something crucial would be building relationships with local politicians and creating a list of resources for each state.

Answer some FAQs to have these readily available to users before their meetings or when they have generalized questions.

The last step would be to continue to run usability tests and set a pricing system for our platform to maintain and improve.
